Job Overview

- Call: Any day scheduled, averaging 5 or fewer calls per 8 weeks
- Weekend coverage: As required by the facility
- Float: As required by the facility
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma or Level 2 Trauma patients
- Driver's License
- Teaching hospital experience
- Competent in conscious sedation
- Interventional Radiology experience
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with vascular surgeon cases in the OR and hybrid imaging suite
- Work with nurses and surgical techs on endovascular and open cases
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments
Work Environment
- Main OR setting
- Patient mix ranges from outpatient to critical care inpatient
- Uses EPIC
- Black scrubs required
- Unprofessional attire and jeans are not allowed
Additional Notes
- Flu vaccination or an approved exemption is required from November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
- Physical demands include standing and walking most of the shift, lifting and pushing patients, and handling up to 50 lbs.
