Job Overview

• Call: Any day scheduled, averaging 5 or fewer calls per 8 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma or Level 2 Trauma patients
• Driver's License
• Teaching hospital experience
• Competent in conscious sedation
• Interventional Radiology experience

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with vascular surgeon cases in the OR and hybrid imaging suite
• Work with nurses and surgical techs on endovascular and open cases
• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments

Work Environment

• Main OR setting
• Patient mix ranges from outpatient to critical care inpatient
• Uses EPIC
• Black scrubs required
• Unprofessional attire and jeans are not allowed

Additional Notes

• Flu vaccination or an approved exemption is required from November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
• Physical demands include standing and walking most of the shift, lifting and pushing patients, and handling up to 50 lbs.
