RN PCU

Location: Zanesville, Ohio
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours per Week: 36

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Ohio
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit (3 years of experience)
  • Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • 3 years of cardiac step-down experience including heart catheterization recovery, cardiac drips, and post-operative open-heart patients
  • 3 years of medical-surgical step-down patient care experience
  • Open-heart patient care experience
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
  • CVRA - Cardiovascular Recovery Area experience
  • Experience with Epic
  • Ability to provide care to ventilated patients

Schedule and Work Expectations

  • Typically works every 3rd weekend
  • Covers 1 holiday, subject to change based on census and staffing
  • No regular on-call requirement, though rare call coverage may be needed
  • May float to other units if needed

Clinical Considerations

  • Must be comfortable caring for ventilated patients if needed
