ER Registered Nurse
Location
- Phoenix, Arizona
Contract
- 13 weeks
- Nights
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- 2 years of ER experience
- 2 years of core experience in the specialty
- Level I trauma experience
- Level I trauma and teaching experience
- Cerner experience
- Previous travel experience for ED
- Previous travel experience for Neuro ICU
Job Details
- Emergency department / trauma setting
- 1:4 patient ratio
- 4 weekend shifts per month
- Floating may include multiple related facilities
- Navy scrubs
- Must be able to read telemetry strips
- Travel teams must have their own vehicle
- No facial piercings
- Natural hair colors only
- Men must be clean shaven for fit testing
- Cannot work another assignment or contract at the same time
- Must have been away from CommonSpirit for 12 months as permanent staff to be considered for a travel assignment
- Onboarding must be complete by the stated deadline
- Pass/fail exams are required during onboarding
- Weekly orientations are held on Mondays except holiday weeks
Preferred Qualifications
- TNCC
- ATCN

- Trauma bays are not staffed by travelers
- Vents are managed by respiratory therapy
- Pharmacy and respiratory therapy are available 24/7
- Travelers may be expected to work with nursing students
