ER Registered Nurse

Registered Nurse license
BLS
ACLS
PALS
2 years of ER experience
2 years of core experience in the specialty
Level I trauma experience
Level I trauma and teaching experience
Cerner experience
Previous travel experience for ED
Previous travel experience for Neuro ICU

Job Details

Emergency department / trauma setting
1:4 patient ratio
4 weekend shifts per month
Floating may include multiple related facilities
Navy scrubs
Must be able to read telemetry strips
Travel teams must have their own vehicle
No facial piercings
Natural hair colors only
Men must be clean shaven for fit testing
Cannot work another assignment or contract at the same time
Must have been away from CommonSpirit for 12 months as permanent staff to be considered for a travel assignment
Onboarding must be complete by the stated deadline
Pass/fail exams are required during onboarding
Weekly orientations are held on Mondays except holiday weeks

Teaching hospital
Trauma bays are not staffed by travelers
Vents are managed by respiratory therapy
Pharmacy and respiratory therapy are available 24/7
Travelers may be expected to work with nursing students
