RN - Med Surg

Job Overview

• Location: Saint Louis, Missouri

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg (1 year of experience)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Experience in an inpatient setting
• Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification from AHA only

Unit Details

• Med-surg unit with 20 beds
• Typical patient ratios: 1:5–6 on days, 1:6–7 on nights
• Patient population includes medical-surgical patients
• Uses EPIC

Work Environment

• High exposure risk to blood and body fluids
• Requires standing and walking most of the shift
• May involve bending, stooping, lifting, turning patients with assistance, and pushing/pulling/gripping up to 50 lbs

Additional Notes

• Auto-offer position
• Black scrubs required
• Open-toed shoes are not allowed
• Block scheduling may be approved based on facility requirements
• Requests for time off of 5 days or less must be made up on the back end
• Only one holiday request off may be made per assignment
