Location

• Prescott Valley, Arizona

Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts
• 36 hours per week
• 4-week schedules
• Every other weekend requirement: 1 full weekend every 3 weeks
• Holiday requirement: 1 major and 1 minor holiday
• On-call requirement: 18 hours per 4-week schedule

Unit Overview

• Labor and Delivery unit
• 16 LDRP beds
• 2 OB operating rooms
• 6 triage rooms
• About 1,000 births per year
• Level II maternity care, down to 32 weeks gestational age
• Charge nurse and house supervisor coverage: yes
• OB/neonatologist coverage: on call 24/7, usually on site
• OB techs and front desk scheduler on the unit
• Respiratory support available: CPAP; ventilator initiation and transport out

Required Qualifications

• RN license
• BLS
• Current EFM certification
• EFM interpretation
• SVEs
• IV starts
• Magnesium sulfate management
• Ability to titrate drips
• Pass/fail test on sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes on first day of orientation

Preferred Qualifications

• AWHONN preferred for EFM certification, but other current EFM certifications are accepted

Additional Notes

• RNs read EFM tracings
• Pitocin is a common titratable drip
• No floating required
• Hospital-laundered scrubs provided
• Unit-specific orientation provided
• Cerner Power Chart Maternity is used for the EHR
• Candidates must live within 50 miles
• Candidates may not have been full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit-associated facility, including CHI or Dignity, within the past year
