Location

• Denison, Iowa

Schedule

• Nights
• 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No call
• May float as needed

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Unit Overview

• Medical-surgical/telemetry unit in a 19-bed department
• Average census: 8–10
• Common patient types include respiratory issues, pneumonia, wound care, post-op orthopedic cases, hip/knee cases, occasional GU/urology, bronchiolitis, and pediatric patients
• Orthopedic patients are common on the unit

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• 2 years of specialty experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Must be able to set up and use BiPAP
• Must be able to read telemetry strips

Preferred Qualifications

• Cerner experience preferred
• Experience in a critical access medical-surgical setting highly preferred

Additional Details

• Local clinicians are not accepted; candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Orientation is usually two shifts with a preceptor on the unit
• Self-scheduling is available
• Housing leads are available at additional cost
