• Nights, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week

Contract Length

• 52 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ED - Emergency Department (4 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• NIHSS
• CPI
• Recent ER experience in acute care facility
• Level 1 trauma experience

Job Responsibilities

• Assess, reassess, and document patient needs and response to care
• Develop and update plans of care
• Administer medications and treatments
• Perform procedures using appropriate nursing practice, policy, sterile technique, standard precautions, and privacy standards
• Educate patients and families
• Interpret diagnostic data and communicate changes in patient condition
• Use SBAR for handoffs
• Participate in multidisciplinary care planning
• Follow patient safety, infection control, blood transfusion, disaster, and chain-of-command policies
• Complete ED-specific orientation and skills checklist
• Support admission, discharge, and patient flow in the ED
• Maintain required ED life-support competencies and high-risk medication safety practices

Preferred Qualifications

• TNCC, ATCN, or CEN is highly desired
