Registered Nurse
Job Overview
- Location: Brooklyn, New York
- Schedule: Days with possible weekends, 5x8
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- Critical Care Float (1 year of experience)
- Critical Care Float experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Tracheostomy and ventilator experience
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
Preferred Experience
- 2 years of experience
- Trach and vent experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in nursing preferred
Work Environment / Physical Demands
- Prolonged standing, reaching, and walking during the workday
- Must be able to stoop, bend, and lift/carry items up to 10 pounds routinely
- May need to lift up to 100 pounds to assist with patient movement
- Possible exposure to adverse indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, bloodborne pathogens, physical hazards, and chemical hazards
Additional Notes
- Uses electronic record systems and other healthcare and billing systems relevant to the position
- Responsibilities include direct patient care, care coordination, supervision of other nursing staff, participation in quality improvement, and support of staff orientation and education
