Registered Nurse

Job Overview

  • Location: Brooklyn, New York
  • Schedule: Days with possible weekends, 5x8
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New York
  • Critical Care Float (1 year of experience)
  • Critical Care Float experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Tracheostomy and ventilator experience
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience

Preferred Experience

  • 2 years of experience
  • Trach and vent experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in nursing preferred

Work Environment / Physical Demands

  • Prolonged standing, reaching, and walking during the workday
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, and lift/carry items up to 10 pounds routinely
  • May need to lift up to 100 pounds to assist with patient movement
  • Possible exposure to adverse indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, bloodborne pathogens, physical hazards, and chemical hazards

Additional Notes

  • Uses electronic record systems and other healthcare and billing systems relevant to the position
  • Responsibilities include direct patient care, care coordination, supervision of other nursing staff, participation in quality improvement, and support of staff orientation and education
