Description
RN – Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum
Location: Goldsboro, North Carolina
Setting: Hospital
Shift: Nights
Hours: 12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks
Overview
Provides clinical nursing care in a hospital setting, coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- 1 year of nursing experience
- LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum (1 year of experience)
- LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum experience within the last year
- Ability to circulate for C-sections
- Ability to triage for OB
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of labor and delivery experience
- Epic experience
- Nursing diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver patient care
- Assess patient, family, and caregiver learning needs
- Evaluate care and adjust the plan as needed
- Communicate relevant information to support continuity of care
- Provide care for patients with complex physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs
- Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required
- Prioritize care and consult appropriate resources for complex cases
- Support discharge planning and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Participate in unit goals, performance improvement, and safe hospital environment practices
