Description

RN – Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum

Location: Goldsboro, North Carolina
Setting: Hospital
Shift: Nights
Hours: 12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks

Overview

Provides clinical nursing care in a hospital setting, coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in North Carolina
  • 1 year of nursing experience
  • LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum (1 year of experience)
  • LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum experience within the last year
  • Ability to circulate for C-sections
  • Ability to triage for OB
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NRP
  • NIHSS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of labor and delivery experience
  • Epic experience
  • Nursing diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing
  • BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver patient care
  • Assess patient, family, and caregiver learning needs
  • Evaluate care and adjust the plan as needed
  • Communicate relevant information to support continuity of care
  • Provide care for patients with complex physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs
  • Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required
  • Prioritize care and consult appropriate resources for complex cases
  • Support discharge planning and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Participate in unit goals, performance improvement, and safe hospital environment practices
