Staff Nurse Specialty Care

Contract

13 weeks

Schedule

• Day rotational
• 4 ten-hour shifts per week
• Call coverage may be required, including up to every other weekend

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• OR - Operating Room experience
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting
• CCRN
• Unit-specific relevant skills certification as required by the home unit assigned

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a group of patients
• Educate patients and families in health promotion and disease management
• Administer medications safely
• Support shared governance, improvement initiatives, peer review, and professional development
• Provide support for new employees and students
• Perform charge nurse or shift coordinator duties when assigned
