NICU RN Travel/Contract Job

Overview

Location: Apple Valley, California
Setting: Acute care hospital
Employment type: Travel/contract

Contract length: 26 weeks
Shift: Day, 3x12 hours

Unit Details

NICU Level III
Approximately 190 births per month
No floating to like units
No on-call requirement
Weekends are every other, with possible additional weekends based on unit needs
Holiday time-off requests must be included at submission, and the assignment requires working 3 of 5 major holidays
Block scheduling is not available
Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Local radius is 50 miles
Guaranteed hours: facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
