RN - Endoscopy

Overview

  • Travel RN position in Springfield, Missouri
  • 13-week assignment
  • Day shift, 5x8 schedule
  • Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
  • Auto-offer role
  • Start date must be within 4 weeks of submission

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Missouri
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • 1 year of endoscopy experience
  • Endoscopy experience within the last year
  • Driver's License
  • Procedure room experience
  • Conscious sedation experience
  • Experience with Epic

Preferred

  • CGRN certification recommended within 2 years after hire, but not required

Schedule Details

  • Shift hours may vary within 0730-1600
  • 2 to 3 late days per week based on recovery/procedure census
  • Weekend coverage as required, up to 1 Saturday every 6-week schedule
  • No call required

Clinical Setting

  • Endoscopy unit covering outpatient and hospital endoscopy locations on the same campus
  • Up to 9 procedure rooms with 36 pre/post bays/beds
  • Patient ratio: 1:1 to 1:2
  • 18 to 21 procedures per room per physician per shift
  • Patient population includes inpatient and outpatient

Key Skills and Work Environment

  • Pre-procedure/pre-op and post-procedure/post-op care
  • Basic dysrhythmia knowledge
  • Fast-paced, teamwork-driven environment
  • Must be able to work closely with physicians and other staff
  • Able to work with delicate instruments and fluoroscopy
  • Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, moving heavy equipment, and low-position work such as kneeling, crouching, and crawling

  • Black scrubs or provided surgical scrubs
