Job Overview
- Specialty: RN Outpatient Surgery/Day Surgery
- Location: Ithaca, New York
- Employment type: LTA
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Schedule
- On-call requirement: about 3–4 weeknight calls and one 24-hour weekend call in an 8-week period; this may increase or decrease based on staffing
- Weeknight call hours: 9p–7a
- Weekend call hours: 7a–7a
- Shift start/end times may vary: 6a–6:30p, 7a–7:30p, 8a–8:30p, or 9a–9:30p
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience
- 2 years of PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
- PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Driver's License
- Nursys completed within 30 days prior to start
- Pharmacology exam
- Rhythm interpretation exam
- Valid, current U.S. driver’s license or U.S. ID card
- Resume with all employment and gaps from the last 7 years accounted for, education history with degree title and graduation date, city/state listed for all assignments and education, and dates in MM/YY format
- Signed job description
- Submission cover sheet
- Epic questionnaire
- TB questionnaire form
Onboarding / Compliance
- Background check completed within 30 days of start, including county criminal searches for all counties lived and worked in within the last 7 years, national criminal check, FACIS 3 check, SSN address trace, and all aliases
- 9+ panel drug screen that excludes marijuana
- Physical/health statement within the past 12 months showing no restrictions
- Fit test completed prior to start and within the last 12 months
- MMR immunity or vaccination documentation
- Varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
- Hepatitis B immunity, vaccination series, or declination form
- Tdap within the last 10 years or declination form
- TB testing documentation
- Color headshot
- Two professional references
- Employment verification for the most recent employer
- Health history forms and acknowledgements required by the onboarding packet
