Description
RN Telemetry I
Location
- Salem, Massachusetts
Schedule
- Nights
- Every other weekend
- 36 hours per week
- Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- 2 years or more of total travel experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Telemetry Certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Knowledge of cardiac drips
Clinical Experience / Skills
- Experience caring for post-cardiac catheterization and pacemaker patients is needed but not required
Unit Details
- Medical telemetry unit
- 37 beds
- Common patient populations include CHF, atrial fibrillation, pulmonary embolism, pneumonia, EtOH-related conditions, dementia with cardiac comorbidities, and occasional surgical patients
Work Expectations
- Floating required to applicable units when needed
- Day rotators may be rotated between 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM when needed; night positions do not rotate
