Labor and Delivery RN

Overview

• Travel/contract RN position in Fullerton, California
• Start: ASAP
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Hours: 36 per week
• Patient ratio: 1:2

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
• EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
• AWHONN Advanced
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Ability to perform sterile vaginal exams independently without supervision
• EPIC EHR experience

Schedule and Unit Expectations

• First-time travelers are accepted
• Weekend work is required, and may exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs
• Must be open to floating to mother-baby
• On-call is not required
• Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager discretion
• Scheduling preferences may be considered but are not guaranteed
• Requests related to additional employment will not be considered
• RTO must be included at time of submission

Compliance and Pre-Start Items

• Pending license is not accepted
• Fit mask clearance is required for travel starts
• Respiratory safety clearance is required for travel starts
• Physical exam is required within 1 year of start
• Negative TB screening or chest X-ray is required
• Drug screening is required
• Flu vaccination or declination is required during flu season
• COVID vaccination documentation or declination is required
• References: minimum of 2 covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• Employment application must include at least the last 5 years of employment
• Work history verification may be required if used in place of reference requirements
