Description
Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist
Location
Johnson City, New York
Schedule
- Day shift
- 40 hours per week
- On-call: 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in New York
- Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
- 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology
- ARRT (R)
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Significant cardiac catheterization lab experience
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for cath lab procedures, including catheterizations, angioplasty, structural heart procedures, peripheral angiography, temporary pacemaker insertion, and LV assist device insertions
- Operate advanced imaging equipment using established guidelines and imaging protocols
- Maintain radiation safety and other safety standards
- Perform quality assurance checks on equipment
- Assist with supply inventory
- Instruct students and residents and serve as a preceptor when needed
