CT Technologist

Location

Hendersonville, North Carolina

Schedule

  • Evening shift
  • 40 hours per week
  • 8-hour shifts

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • CT Technologist (2 years of experience)
  • CT Technologist experience within the last year
  • Radiologic Technology Certification
  • ARRT (CT)
  • Experience reading and interpreting complex radiology orders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using point-of-care-testing platforms such as Abbott i-Stat
  • Certification and experience working with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System)

Role Overview

  • Performs CT screening and imaging procedures
  • Reviews imaging orders and consults with a radiologist when needed
  • Obtains consent for contrast injection, establishes IV access, and applies contrast
  • Draws blood for kidney function evaluation under laboratory supervision
  • Interviews patients to assess risk factors and medical history
  • Selects scanning protocols and imaging parameters
  • Explains procedures to patients and helps calm distressed patients
