Travel Registered Nurse — Labor & Delivery / Postpartum

• Oxnard, California

Contract

• 13 weeks
• Travel contract
• Nights
• 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license
• BLS
• ACLS
• NRP
• AWHONN fetal monitoring certification
• 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery/Postpartum

Preferred

• At least one prior travel contract

Unit Details

• Labor & Delivery and Postpartum unit
• 7 Labor & Delivery beds
• 4 triage beds
• 2 overflow beds
• 27 Postpartum beds
• 5-bed nursery
• About 3 births per day

Clinical Expectations

• Must be able to circulate for C-sections
• Labor & Delivery nurses must have Postpartum experience
• Postpartum nurses may assist in Labor & Delivery and NICU within scope
• May float to Postpartum or Labor & Delivery as needed
• May float to NICU to care for grower/feeders

Schedule / Work Environment

• 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
• Holidays worked with permanent staff
• Optional call, preferred if willing to take call
• 3-shift orientation

Facility Notes

• High-risk deliveries
• Patients may include substance withdrawal, no prenatal care, and Spanish-speaking patients
• OB/neonatologist available on call 24/7
• Respiratory therapy and pharmacy available 24/7
• No IV team
• No vents
