CT Tech
Location
- Peoria, Illinois
Schedule
- Night shift
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts
- Stand-by call required
- No weekends
Contract Length
- 20 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Illinois
- CT Technologist (3 years of experience)
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT (CT)
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate's degree
Role Overview
- Perform routine and specialized CT examinations
- Adapt procedures to obtain diagnostic results under a radiologist’s direction
- Prepare patients for examinations
- Assist with invasive procedures, including sterile tray setup, catheters, and guidewires
- Order labs and pathology tests and schedule procedures appropriately
- Document pre- and post-procedure information
- Maintain patient flow and transport patients as needed
- Complete radiology system documentation accurately and promptly
- Support patient and staff safety, including safe use of lift equipment
- Troubleshoot equipment and report problems through proper channels
- Maintain clean, stocked work areas and ensure safe equipment operation
- Train and support fellow technologists and students
