Registered Nurse
Job Overview
- Location: Chesapeake, Virginia
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Specialty/unit: Med/Surg Tele post-surgical unit
- Patient population: High-volume post-surgical patients, including urology and GYN surgical populations
- Shift options: 3x12s or 4x12s
- Shift time: Night shift, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Typical patient ratio: 1:7
- Longer assignment available through January 9, 2027
Schedule Expectations
- Every other weekend, floating, and holidays within the contract are required
- Travelers must work two of the three winter holidays
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- Experience with Epic
- Driver's License
Required Certifications
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
Additional Notes
- Candidates must be comfortable with the stated patient ratios
- RN candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
- A driver’s license is required for address verification prior to offer acceptance
- Previous travel experience is preferred
