Registered Nurse

Job Overview

  • Location: Chesapeake, Virginia
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Specialty/unit: Med/Surg Tele post-surgical unit
  • Patient population: High-volume post-surgical patients, including urology and GYN surgical populations
  • Shift options: 3x12s or 4x12s
  • Shift time: Night shift, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
  • Typical patient ratio: 1:7
  • Longer assignment available through January 9, 2027

Schedule Expectations

  • Every other weekend, floating, and holidays within the contract are required
  • Travelers must work two of the three winter holidays

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Virginia
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
  • Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
  • Experience with Epic
  • Driver's License

Required Certifications

  • BLS issued by American Heart Association

Additional Notes

  • Candidates must be comfortable with the stated patient ratios
  • RN candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
  • A driver’s license is required for address verification prior to offer acceptance
  • Previous travel experience is preferred
