Occupational Therapist NICU
Location
Salinas, California
Contract Length
13 weeks
Schedule
- 1 weekend a month
- 8:00 AM start time
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
- Occupational Therapist (3 years of experience)
- Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- 1 year of NICU experience
Role Overview
- Provides occupational therapy interventions, including assessment, care planning, patient and family education, scheduling, documentation, and adaptive equipment issuance
- Works with patients in a NICU setting and provides age-appropriate care
- May assist with orientation of new employees and volunteers
- May instruct and evaluate therapy students and therapy assistant students
- May regularly assume Charge Therapist duties
- Coordinates with a CCS Case Manager for patients who may need continued occupational therapy after discharge
