    Occupational Therapist NICU

    Location

    Salinas, California

    Contract Length

    13 weeks

    Schedule

    • 1 weekend a month
    • 8:00 AM start time

    Required Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
    • Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
    • Occupational Therapist (3 years of experience)
    • Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
    • BLS issued by American Heart Association
    • 1 year of NICU experience

    Role Overview

    • Provides occupational therapy interventions, including assessment, care planning, patient and family education, scheduling, documentation, and adaptive equipment issuance
    • Works with patients in a NICU setting and provides age-appropriate care
    • May assist with orientation of new employees and volunteers
    • May instruct and evaluate therapy students and therapy assistant students
    • May regularly assume Charge Therapist duties
    • Coordinates with a CCS Case Manager for patients who may need continued occupational therapy after discharge
