RN Progressive Care Unit

Location: New Albany, Indiana
Schedule: 3rd shift, 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Hours: 36 per week
Contract length: 13 weeks

Overview

This role provides direct patient care on a progressive care unit, including assessments, treatments, care coordination, patient and family education, and discharge support.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN
• Previous nursing experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
• Provide and coordinate treatments, procedures, and patient care activities
• Educate patients and families
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge processes
• Delegate and oversee patient care tasks appropriately
• Participate in quality improvement activities and core measures
