Role Summary

• Provides direct patient care on the unit, including rounds, assessments, treatments, admissions, transfers, discharges, patient and family education, care coordination, and individualized treatment planning.
• Uses the nursing process, critical thinking, and evidence-based practice to support patient care and quality improvement.

Required Qualifications

• RN license

Key Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing reassessments
• Develops and prioritizes patient care plans
• Implements therapies and procedures within scope of practice
• Communicates changes in patient condition and responds appropriately
• Coordinates care for multiple patients and delegates tasks as appropriate
• Supports discharge planning and patient education
• Participates in unit-based activities and quality improvement efforts
