Medical Surgical Nurse
Overview
- Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours
- Weekly hours: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Med Surg (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred
- NIH certification
- Neuro experience
Assignment Details
- Patient ratio: 1:5-6
- Floating is required
- Weekend shifts: 12-16 per contract
- Block scheduling may be accommodated
- RTO limit: 7 days maximum
- Travelers may be assigned to storm, hurricane, mass casualty, or disaster response coverage as needed
- Mid-contract consolidation to a centralized office may occur, with reassignment to units as needed

- Neuro surgical procedures and neuro diagnoses
Unit Information
- Scheduling is managed by the manager
- Orientation includes 2 unit orientation shifts after hospital-based orientation
- Scrubs: Navy
