Role Summary
- Vascular Surgery Tech
- Scrubbing required
Required Qualifications
- BLS certification
- CST through Surgical Technologist program
- Does not accept NCCT
- Minimum of 2 years of OR experience
- Endovascular (IR procedures) experience
- Vascular experience
Clinical Details
- Average of 3 cases per day
- Common cases include Endovascular (IR procedures), everything in Vascular, and amputations
Schedule
- 12-hour day shifts
- Weekend call: Sat/Sun call from 7a Saturday to 7a Monday, every 3rd weekend
- Holiday call rotation
- Shift details to be discussed in interview
Float Scope
- May float to help other surgical teams, IR teams, or SPD if qualified
Additional Notes
- Charge nurse and/or house supervisor on each shift
- OR techs on site
- Unit orientation includes scrubbing with a hospital surgical tech for a week
