Registered Nurse — Emergency Room
Location
Cartersville, Georgia
Contract
- Travel/contract assignment
- 8 weeks
- Night shift, 3x12 hours
- 36 hours per week
Schedule
- Every other weekend
- No call
- Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
Experience
- 2 years of minimum experience
- First-time travelers accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS
- NIH Stroke Certification
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam
- 2 clinical references
- Verification of most recent employer
- Skills checklist within 12 months
- Background check completed before start
- Education verification for related degree
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- TB questionnaire
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months of start
- Flu vaccine or declination
- Proof of immunity or acceptable documentation for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B
- Photo ID
- Code of conduct acknowledgement
- Dress and professional appearance policy review
Additional Notes
- Locals accepted
- Full compliance is required to start on time
- One major holiday may be required if it falls during the assignment; two major holidays require working both; three major holidays require working two
