Pediatric Pre/Post Op RN
Job Overview
- Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Specialty: Registered Nurse
- Shift: Nights, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday
- Time off: Up to 40 hours can be approved
- Unit setting: Pediatric peri-anesthesia unit with a 10-bed pediatric preoperative/postoperative area and a 4-bed pediatric surgical observation unit
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- 1 year of Med Surg experience
- Pediatrics PACU - Post Anesthetic Care experience
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
Additional Notes
- 50-mile radius rule applies
- The pediatric surgical observation unit provides overnight observation or extended recovery up to 23 hours after surgery
