RN - Telemetry - Travel
Job Overview
- Location: New York, New York
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, every other weekend
- Hours per week: 34.5
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- 1 year or more of total travel experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Ventilator experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Med-surg experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Associate degree in nursing considered only with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN program
- EPIC experience highly preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice
- Assess patient needs, coordinate care, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
- Educate patients and caregivers on care plans, transitions, health promotion, and disease prevention
- Support patient experience through relationship-centered care, rounding, and service recovery
- Contribute to quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives
- Perform charge nurse duties as assigned
- Document nursing care accurately and thoroughly
- Help manage supplies, staffing resources, and patient throughput
