Description
Step Down RN Travel Contract
Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Cleveland, Ohio
- 13-week assignment
- 3x12 schedule
- Rotating day/night shifts
- May float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED for the same patient population
- Must work at least every other holiday
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- 1.5 years of stepdown experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS
Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Day shift: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
- Shifts may vary based on hospital operational needs
Orientation / Onboarding Requirements
- ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment are completed during orientation and must be passed
- Background check required before start
- Fingerprinting required within 48 hours of signed contract
- Education verification required
- Physical exam required within 1 year of start
- Fit mask required within 12 months of start and updated annually
- TB screening required within 12 months of start and updated annually
- Drug screen required within 12 months of start and updated annually
- Flu documentation required for current candidates by November 30 and for new candidates onboarding between November 30 and March 31
- 2 references required
- Employment application must include 3 years of prior work history, including at least 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting and in a similar area to the assignment
- Skills checklist required annually
Additional Notes
- PCU / progressive care experience is preferred but not required
- Auto offer
- Facility exams at orientation include medication administration and ECG interpretation assessments
