Description
Registered Nurse - MedSurg / Telemetry
Location
Cambridge, Massachusetts
Schedule
- 12-hour day shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend
- Rotating holidays
- No block scheduling
Assignment Details
- Acute care setting
- Telemetry experience required
- Charge capability highly preferred
- Floating required
- Local candidates within 50 miles accepted
- First-time travelers accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Driver's License
- Experience administering blood products
- Experience administering amiodarone
- Charge capability
Preferred Qualifications
- AHA ACLS
- EPIC familiarity
Clinical Experience
- Acute care experience
- Experience administering antibiotics, anticoagulants, blood, Lasix, and amiodarone
Unit Information
- Common diagnoses include alcohol abuse, COPD, diabetes, CHF, sepsis, and pneumonia
- Uses Pyxis, Zebra scanners, bladder scanners, dopplers, and general medical equipment
Orientation
- Hospital orientation followed by two shifts on the unit with a preceptor
