Travel RN - L&D
Overview
- Specialty: Labor & Delivery RN
- Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
- Employment type: Travel
- Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Contract length: 12 weeks
- Hours per week: 36
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Utah
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Experience in an acute care setting
- Experience with Epic
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- AWHONN
Key Experience and Skills
- Comfortable independently managing laboring patients, high-risk pregnancies, induction and augmentation of labor, fetal monitoring, vaginal deliveries, and immediate postpartum care
- Experience circulating cesarean sections
- Experience managing obstetric emergencies
- Experience with fetal monitoring interpretation
- Strong assessment skills, communication, teamwork, and ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience
- High-risk obstetrics
- Magnesium sulfate administration
- Insulin drips
- Multiple gestation pregnancies
- Preeclampsia management
- Shoulder dystocia management
- Postpartum hemorrhage management
- Operative vaginal deliveries
- Antepartum patient care and management
- External cephalic versions and cerclages
- NICU or newborn stabilization experience
Unit Details
- 15 labor rooms, 3-bed triage bay, and 2 ORs
- Typical patient ratios: 1:1; early labor/antepartum/triage 1:2 or 1:3
- Floating may include postpartum
- Rotating weekends: 4 weekend shifts per month

- Labor inductions and augmentations
