Operating Room RN
Overview
- Specialty: RN Surgery
- Location: Austin, Texas
- Employment type: Long-term assignment
- Shift: 10:30–19:00, Monday–Friday
- Schedule: Mid-shift
Role Summary
- Provides direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Coordinates care with the interdisciplinary team to support surgical workflow and patient safety
- Performs circulating nurse responsibilities, including patient monitoring and documentation in the EHR
- Provides scrub nurse support by maintaining sterile technique, preparing instruments, and assisting surgeons
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- OR - Operating Room (1.5 years of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Driver's License
- Pediatrics OR - Operating Room experience
Preferred Experience
- 1+ year of OR RN experience
- Pediatric OR RN experience is a plus
