RN (Registered Nurse)

Schedule

  • Nights, 12-hour shifts
  • 48 hours per week
  • Every other weekend required

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Arkansas
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Float (2 years of experience)
  • Float experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association

Unit Details

  • Float pool assignment between Med/Onc, 2 surgical units, and 2 medical units
  • 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
  • Total care; no PCAs
  • No tele; only occasional strip reading
  • Charge nurse is present each shift and takes an assignment
  • Nurse aides/patient care techs are present
  • Respiratory support is readily available
  • Floating required to any Med/Surg pod

Orientation

  • 3 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation

Additional Notes

  • No holiday requirement
  • No call or standby requirement
  • Navy scrubs required; scrubs not provided
