- Nights, 12-hour shifts
- 48 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Arkansas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Float (2 years of experience)
- Float experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
Unit Details
- Float pool assignment between Med/Onc, 2 surgical units, and 2 medical units
- 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Total care; no PCAs
- No tele; only occasional strip reading
- Charge nurse is present each shift and takes an assignment
- Nurse aides/patient care techs are present
- Respiratory support is readily available
- Floating required to any Med/Surg pod
Orientation
- 3 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation
Additional Notes
- No holiday requirement
- No call or standby requirement
- Navy scrubs required; scrubs not provided
