Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool
Job Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Charlottesville, Virginia
- Day shift
- 36 or 48 hours per week
- Assignment may be extended through 01/02/2027
- Floating to pediatric units including PICU, NICU, pediatric med-surg, pediatric PACU, pediatric ED boarders, and postpartum/mother-baby
- Clinical review and auto offer
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Critical Care Float (2 years of experience)
- Critical Care Float experience within the last year
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure issued by American Heart Association or American Academy of Pediatrics
- Infant-Driven Feeding™ Advancing Oral Feeding Practice in the NICU
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- Pediatric PACU experience
Schedule and Assignment Details
- Every other weekend required
- Must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays
- Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
- Up to 40 hours of time off may be approved
- No time off can be approved during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
- Must adhere to float policy
Additional Notes
- Epic experience is required
- Infant Driven Feeding certification may be submitted pending, with a stated cost of $185
