Location

• Marshfield, Wisconsin

Contract

• 13 weeks
• 12-hour night shifts
• 48 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a busy hospital environment
• Experience with post-procedural cath lab patients
• Experience managing TR band compression devices
• Experience managing chest pain
• Experience with post-cardiac surgical patients

Unit Details

• 29 beds
• Typical patient ratio: 1:4 on days through 2300; 1:5-6 on nights after 2300
• Cardiac medical and surgical patients, including post-cath lab and post-cardiac surgery cases
• Central telemetry unit monitors non-critical care patients

Schedule

• Every other weekend
• Every other holiday
• No self-scheduling
• Block scheduling may be available if it meets unit needs
• Friday/Saturday/Sunday option available

Responsibilities

• Titrate drips as needed; no vasopressors
• Common drips include nitroglycerin, heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, Bumex, and dobutamine
• RT is available 24/7 for nebulizers, inhalers, CPAP, BiPAP, and Vapotherm support
• RN responsible for incentive spirometry

Additional Notes

• No call or standby unless it is an extra shift
• Floating as needed based on unit census
• No scrubs provided
• Charge RN takes a modified assignment
• Unit orientation includes 1 shift of HR onboarding and 1 shift on the unit
• Clinicians who have previously worked for this facility must have an end date at least 6 months before submission
• Must clock in and out at the facility
