CVICU Registered Nurse
Job Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Arlington, Virginia
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, 4x12s
- Every other weekend
- Start date is ASAP, depending on EPIC experience/training schedule
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- CVICU (2 years of experience)
- CVICU experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
- Cardiac Stepdown experience
- Telemetry experience
Clinical Responsibilities
- Must be able to float to regular ICU, CV stepdown, and/or a cardiac telemetry unit
- May care for COVID patients while floating to ICU
Schedule Notes
- If choosing 4x12s, overtime begins after 48 hours per week
Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements
- Flu vaccination is required during flu season unless an approved medical or religious exemption is in place
- Fit test within the last 12 months
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- Drug screen within 30 days of start
- Proof of 2 clinical references
- Government-issued photo ID
- E-Verify proof or attestation
- Background check and education verification
- Completion of required pre-start forms, acknowledgements, and orientation materials
