Unit Details
- Burn and reconstructive unit with off-service patients in PCU status, including stroke and cardiac patients
- 22 beds
- Patient ratio: 1:3/4
- Standard equipment
- EMR: Meditech
- Typical procedure: dressing changes
Schedule
- Day shift staffing includes 1 free float CN, 6 RNs, 2 PCTs, and 1 UC
- Night shift staffing includes 1 free float CN, 6 RNs, and 2 PCTs
- Every other weekend
- No on-call
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
