Description
Medical Surgical RN
Overview
- Travel/contract RN position in Springfield, Illinois
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift: 3x12 hours, 6:45 AM–7:15 PM
- 36 hours per week
- Average daily census: 22 patients
- Acute care hospital; Level I trauma center; Magnet facility
- Charting system: Cerner
- Scrub color: Any solid color
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- Med Surg (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response skills/experience
- Rapid Response Teams experience
- Colostomy Care
- Feeding tube care and management
- Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management
- Renal failure experience
- Blood Product Administration
- Central line blood draw
- Peripheral Line Care/Management
- PICC line management
Schedule / Work Expectations
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirement
- Schedule requests may be discussed with the manager
- Requested time off ideally no more than 5 days
