Registered Nurse (RN) — Emergency Room
Job details

- Unit size: 34 beds
- Patient ratio: 4:1
- Patient population: Mixed acuity with drips and titrations
- Float assignment: Emergency department at a freestanding campus
Required qualifications
- Valid RN license in Iowa
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 24 months of Emergency Room / Emergency Department experience
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment within the previous 18 months
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- TNCC
- Driver's License
- Experience with Epic
Preferred / additional information
- CPI, MOAB, MAB, or SAMA de-escalation certification is preferred
- NIH Stroke Scale certification is nice to have and can be obtained during onboarding
- Must work 1–2 of the 3 upcoming summer holidays unless the unit is closed
- Orientation dates: 9/21 and 9/28
- Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver’s license
- Past employees of the health system may be restricted from travel assignments based on prior employment status and timing
- May be contacted by phone call or text from a 405 area code
