Description
MRI Technologist II
Location
- Stanford, California
Contract
- 13 weeks
- 0.9 FTE
- 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
- Rotating schedule
- Mostly weekend coverage
- Shift window: 0500-2200
- No overnight, on-call, or holidays
Required Qualifications
- MRI Technologist (1 year of experience)
- MRI Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures and obtain quality diagnostic images
- Prepare patients for MRI exams, including screening, positioning, and safe transfer
- Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and report problems for repair
- Use ancillary equipment such as PACS, a power injector, and patient monitoring equipment
- Maintain required documentation and billing for procedures
- May assist with onboarding and instruction of radiology students, house staff, or others in MRI procedures, protocols, equipment, and safety issues
