Description
Infusion RN
Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Santa Monica, California
- Outpatient cancer center setting
- Day shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
- Start date: ASAP
- Contract length: 26 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Infusion experience within the last year
- 1 year of infusion experience
- CRNI certification
- NURSYS verification required for RNs
- Pending state license not accepted
Preferred Experience
- Inpatient or outpatient oncology experience
- Chemotherapy experience
- Experience caring for patients with a wide range of cancer diagnoses
Schedule and Work Expectations
- No call
- No weekend requirement
- No floating between like units
- May occasionally need to work overtime if treatment reactions or complexities occur
Work Setting and Duties
- Infusion RN role supporting a non-chemotherapy patient population
- Duties include phlebotomy, iron infusions, port flushes, injections, hydration treatments, and rare genetic testing/liquid biopsy procedures
- Also administers IV therapy and other infusion treatments
