Schedule

• 3x12-hour night shifts
• Self-scheduling available
• Block scheduling may be accommodated
• Every other weekend
• Every other holiday

Unit Details

• 21-bed nephrology unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5-6 on nights
• Charge nurse and house supervisor available 24/7
• Patient care techs are on the unit
• Telemetry is monitored by a separate tele tech team; nurses do not read or interpret strips
• No vents on the unit

Responsibilities

• Bedside report and 1-2 hour rounding are required
• May float to other general medical units
• May occasionally float as a sitter or to the ED or ICUs as a help-all role

• Last four digits of SSN
• Middle initial
• Requested time off
• Negative drug screen

Additional Notes

• Local placements within 50 miles are accepted
• Local clinicians receive an adjusted rate
• 12 hours of non-billable orientation
• No call shifts
• Any scrub color is allowed
• No artificial nails, gel nails, chipped polish, visible tattoos, or piercings; females may wear one pair of simple earrings
