Job Overview
- Travel/contract registered nurse role in Crescent City, California
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ED - Emergency Department (5 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
Compliance and Pre-Start Requirements
- 7-year background check within 6 months of start
- Sex offender search within 90 days of start
- FACIS Level 3 screening within 2 weeks of start, then monthly
- EPLS/GSA/SAM screening
- HHS/OIG screening
- California Medi-Cal search if FACIS Level 3 cannot be run monthly
- Education verification of highest level achieved
- State license verification within 30 days of start
- NURSYS verification within 30 days of start
- TB screening questionnaire within 90 days of start, then annually
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit test within 1 year of start, then annually
- Respiratory safety clearance
- Drug screen within 6 months of start
- Color vision exam if applicable
- Employment application with 7 years of work history and no gaps
- Unit-specific skills checklist
- Professional references
- Signed job description, standards of business conduct, general regulatory orientation, conditional offer attestation, vendor training, code of conduct, and overpayment refund policy
- Epic questionnaire for RNs
- Flu vaccination documentation during flu season
- Tdap documentation
- Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunization documentation or acceptable alternatives

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred
- TNCC is valid for 4 years
