Critical Care Float
Job Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Seattle, Washington
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: 20 weeks
- Day shift, 3x12 hours
- Every other weekend required
- Must work 2 of the 3 holidays
- Float assignment across critical care units
- Locals accepted
- No on-call
- No block scheduling
- Pending license not accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 3 years of critical care experience
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (3 years of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Academic or teaching facility experience
- Ventilator management experience
- IV start experience
- Conscious sedation experience
- Critical Care Float experience
- Trauma experience
- Experience with Epic
- Must pass a dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam before start
- Must complete a medication/pharmacology competency exam
- Must complete a competency exam
- Must complete color blind testing
- Must complete a background check
- Must complete a drug screen
- Must complete a physical exam
- Must complete fit testing
- Must have Tdap within 10 years of start
- Must provide TB clearance
- Must provide immunity or vaccination documentation for measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella
- Must provide flu vaccination or declination during flu season
- Must provide COVID vaccination or declination for tracking
- Must provide 2 references from direct supervisors
Preferred
- TNCC
- ICP
- PA lines
Additional Notes
- Telemetry monitoring is required
- Required skills include vents, IV start, telemetry, and conscious sedation
- Orientation testing is pass/fail at 80%
- Must submit requested time off before submission; additional time off will not be granted after offer
