Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Rhode Island
- Stepdown (1 year of experience)
- Stepdown experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Driver's License

- License and/or certification primary source verification
- Rhode Island fingerprinting for RN roles
- Specialty competency exam
- Basic EKG exam
- Pharmacology exam
- Core competencies
- COVID-19 vaccine series or bivalent booster
- MMR immunity or positive titer
- Fit test
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or declination
- 2-step PPD or IGRA within the last year
- Varicella immunity or positive titer
- Tdap within 10 years
- Criminal background check
- First look orientation packet

Additional Notes
- BLS and ACLS accept AHA or ARC
- BSN applies to RN positions only
- Flu vaccination is required during 9/1/25-5/31/26
- Positive PPD/TB history requires a negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire
- Hepatitis B titers are not accepted
- Fit test must be completed before start and within 1 year of start
- COVID vaccine medical exemption may be reviewed and approved before start
- Fingerprinting must be completed in Rhode Island within 30 days of start
