Description
LDRP Registered Nurse
Location
- Little Falls, Minnesota
Contract
- 13 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour night shifts
- Rotating day/night schedule every 3 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- Experience in L&D and Medsurg/Peds
- Experience with titrating drips
- Must be able to read telemetry strips
Schedule Requirements
- Every third weekend
- Every third holiday
- 1-hour call/standby response time
Unit Details
- 4 labor and delivery beds
- 6 postpartum beds
- 1 separate triage bed
- C-sections are done in the OR
- Uses AWHONN ratios: 1:1 when inducing, 1:2 postpartum
- Charge nurse is present each shift and typically does not take an assignment
- RN monitors telemetry; HUC is also trained to read telemetry
- 1 nurse aide on duty from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- EFM system used on the unit
Work Environment
- No clinical involvement
- OB/neonatologist and anesthesia are on call, not in house 24/7
- Respiratory therapy is on call 24/7
- Nurses may float to Med Surg Peds when OB census is low
- No dress code; any color scrubs allowed
Additional Notes
- Critical access experience is preferred
- Prior travel experience is not required
- Unit orientation is 1 twelve-hour shift
- Strong communication, motivation, and approachability are valued
