Respiratory Therapist
Job Overview
- Location: Frederick, Maryland
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
- Shift: Day, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
- Hours: 40 per week
- Schedule: No weekends
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Maryland
- Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Wound Care Technician experience
Preferred Qualifications
- CHT or CHRN preferred
Role Highlights
- Provides care for patients receiving hyperbaric oxygen treatment
- Operates ancillary hyperbaric treatment equipment
- Follows UHMS and NFPA safety guidelines
- Participates in emergency procedures and drills
- 2:1 patient ratio
- First-time travelers may be accepted if experienced in HBO care
Training / Onboarding
- Must have attended approved UHMS 40-hour Hyperbaric Treatment training
- Completion of facility-required testing and onboarding modules is required before start
