RN - Central Resource Pool

Location

• Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Straight nights, rotating shifts, or blocked scheduling
• Orientation includes 1 week, then 7 weeks of days and 6 weeks of nights

Unit / Department

• 30-bed medical surgical unit and 8-bed progressive care unit
• The unit includes med-surg, progressive care, and IMC/MS areas
• Travelers may be reassigned to other departments; Med-Surg float units are included

Required Qualifications

• RN license: South Dakota or compact state RN license
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• Experience with Bipap, Cpap, Heated High Flow, Oxygen titration, Moderate Sedation, Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical patient care

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialty certification

Clinical Setting

• Patients include pneumonia, COPD, CHF, COVID-19, pulmonary embolism, and complex respiratory cases
• Care includes oxygen therapy, IV medications, moderate sedation monitoring during bronchoscopies, chest tubes, tracheostomies, postoperative care, non-invasive ventilation, mechanical ventilation, and cardiac monitoring

Unit Equipment / Systems

• Epic for documentation
• Alaris pumps for IVF
• Acudose for medications

Dress Code

• Navy blue scrubs

Additional Notes

• Clinician must be disclosed if they have ever worked for Sanford Health
• If previously worked there, the end date must be at least 6 months before submission
• Badge in and out is required
