Medical Surgical - Neuro
Location

Schedule
- 36 or 48 hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Manager schedules
- Blocked scheduling may be accommodated depending on request
- Float required
- 12–16 weekend shifts per contract
- 7 days maximum RTO; no RTO
- 1:5–6 nurse-to-patient ratio
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Neurosurgery experience
Preferred Qualifications
- NIH certification
- Neuro experience
Unit Details
- Patient population includes neuro surgical procedures and neuro diagnoses
- Medication, documentation, and communication systems include Pyxis, SBAR, and EPIC
- 2 unit orientation shifts after hospital orientation
- Navy scrubs
Additional Assignment Notes
- May be assigned to storm, hurricane, mass casualty, or disaster response coverage
- May be reassigned to centralized office or preassigned units as needed
