RNII - MedSurg/Tele Float Pool
Location
Phoenix, Arizona
Role Overview
RN MedSurg/Tele Float Pool assignment in a teaching hospital with Level I trauma experience required.
Contract Length
13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- RN license
- 2 years of core experience in the specialty being submitted to
- 2 years or more experience in Med/Surg/Tele
- Level I trauma experience
- ACLS (AHA)
- BLS (AHA)
- Cerner EMR experience
- Must be gone from CommonSpirit for 12 months as perm staff to be considered for a travel assignment
- Cannot work another assignment/contract while working for Dignity AZ
- Must have their own vehicle
- Must pass the basic dysrhythmia exam within 2 attempts
- Must complete onboarding by the stated deadline
- Must be able to float without refusing assignments
Preferred Qualifications
- Level I trauma center experience
- Teaching hospital experience
- NIHSS
Unit / Float Scope
- Med Surg Tele Float Cluster
- Multiple medical-surgical, telemetry, neuro, and observation units
- Tower 5–8: med/surg, oncology, lung transplant, cardiac surgery, trauma, and organ transplant
- Neuro units 5N, 6N, and 7NNB: stroke, neuro, epilepsy, ENT, and migraines
- 6HLT/7HLT: cardiac procedures and observation
- May also float to Neuro Rehab, Surgical Landing Zone, ED Holds, Zone 4, Westgate, and Laveen
Schedule
- Nights
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
- 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks
- Holidays required based on unit needs
Additional Notes
- Weekly orientations on Mondays except holiday weeks
- No call
- Standby response time: 30 minutes
- SIMs Lab is pass/fail for Tele RNs
- Travelers may be expected to have nursing students
- No facial piercings and only natural hair colors
